The Entre-Prises and Clip ‘n Climb teams in China were proud to show off our very latest climbing walls at the Outdoor Shenzhen show in southeastern China from 28 to 31 May 2021.
With 24 Clip ‘n Climb or Adventure Zone centres already up and running in China, our teams in Asia are keen to further strengthen the brand’s presence in the region. The Outdoor Shenzhen show in May provided the perfect opportunity to engage with visitors and meet customers in person once again, and to tell them all about our exciting new climbing walls.
A set of Prima walls was displayed on the stand, together with a Champions Series Boulder Wall that visitors were able to try out for themselves.
The Prima walls displayed at the show are part of a compact, fun climbing range designed to appeal to even the youngest climbers. This bright, colourful capsule range can be mixed and matched, and its modernised, thinner design makes it ideal for small centres looking to maximise space. There are 14 Challenges in total: a choice of nine combinations and five unique, geometric designs. Easy to clean, and fully compliant with US and EU safety standards for climbing walls, these simple, fun and safe walls are a great addition to any multi-activity centre, and ideal for birthday parties and group events!
The brand new Champions Series walls promoted at Outdoor Shenzhen are designed to be installed in the corner of an existing Clip ‘n Climb arena or as a stand-alone attraction in a mall or resort. These walls recreate the atmosphere of an elite competition, capitalising on the buzz that is guaranteed to develop around climbing when it makes its Olympic debut this year. The new range is designed to broaden the sport’s appeal and attract new customers and an older audience, including teenagers, parents and team-building groups, while catering for children aged four and up too.
The Champions walls are based on the three Olympic disciplines: Lead, Bouldering and Speed climbing, and the full Champions Series set-up consists of two Speed walls, a Boulder wall and a Lead wall, all offering bronze, silver and gold levels of challenge. It accommodates a minimum of 12 visitors in 50 sqm area and can be made even more exciting with a viewing area where spectators can cheer climbers on, and a video option so climbers can see their ascents streamed live or watch them in playback.
The Boulder Wall displayed at the show is a shorter wall, accommodating up to three climbers at once, and new approach for Clip ‘n Climb, as climbers are kept safe by a thick foam bouldering mat without being attached. Bouldering is the most popular discipline within sport climbing, and a boulder wall is a key attraction in any climbing gym.
