The new Clip ‘n Climb Mons facility boasts 21 colourful challenges and 26 climbing lines, offering a unique blend of physical activity, excitement, and fun. Designed to cater to all ages and abilities, from first-time climbers to confident adventurers, the centre embraces the core Clip ‘n Climb value of inclusivity. Clip ‘n Climb Mons complements the existing climbing gym Face Nord, enabling visitors to experience the full spectrum of climbing in a single destination. From traditional climbing to interactive walls, the centre is fast becoming a true hub for vertical sport and recreation.
At the heart of this project is Laurent Toisoul, engineer, entrepreneur, and passionate climber. Already the owner of Face Nord, Laurent is also the president of Evolution Verticale, a well-known climbing association near Brussels. His diverse background and hands-on experience in the climbing community made him the perfect candidate to pioneer the first Clip ‘n Climb brand licence in Europe.
Laurent discovered the Clip ‘n Climb concept several years ago and immediately recognised its potential. With a strong belief in bringing all aspects of climbing together under one roof, he saw Mons as the ideal location to introduce Clip ‘n Climb to the area.
“The idea first came to me in 2018 while searching online for an original concept in climbing. After purchasing Face Nord climbing centre in 2022, I immediately began drafting plans for a new building. Following a few conversations with Clip ‘n Climb and visits to several centres across Europe, the project officially launched.
Clip ‘n Climb provided outstanding support throughout the process, from marketing tools and IT systems to interior design and personalised coaching. I’m especially grateful for the flexibility and impressive efficiency of the installation team. Their help was invaluable in bringing the centre to life, and we were proud to open our doors in July 2025” said Laurent.
Mons ranks among Belgium’s top 15 most populous cities and is part of a dynamic and growing leisure landscape. The local market already includes two climbing gyms, two family entertainment centres (FECs), and a trampoline park, but, until now, there has been no offering quite like Clip ‘n Climb.
With an estimated catchment area of 680,000 people and a thriving student population, Clip ‘n Climb Mons represents an exciting opportunity.
