As the new year unfolds, Clip ‘n Climb gears up for an exhilarating chapter with the imminent opening of two franchise sites in the UK – Halifax and Wandsworth. The team has been working hard, ensuring that both locations are ready to welcome adventure enthusiasts through their doors in early February. Here’s what to expect from the new franchises:
Clip ‘n Climb Halifax marks the latest venture for experienced leisure entrepreneurs Paul, Michael, George, and Tony Ioannou. Renowned for transforming Electric Bowl from one of Yorkshire’s largest and most successful Snooker Clubs into a diverse leisure venue, offering Tenpin Bowling, Pool, Snooker, Golf and Sports simulators. The Ioannou team adds Clip ‘n Climb Halifax to their impressive portfolio. This establishment showcases a strategic approach to expansion – adding 19 Clip ‘n Climb challenges and 23 climbing lines to the Galactic Golf experience. Each challenge was carefully selected by our design team to maximise using a small space, whilst still allowing for a large visitor capacity per hour.
Paul Ioannou said why he thinks it’s the perfect leisure fusion: “When the opportunity to bring Clip ‘n Climb to Halifax arose, we knew it was the perfect addition to our offering. It’s a great family-friendly activity that can be experienced by all abilities, from young starters to experienced climbers. It has a positive impact on fitness and mental health and most importantly, it’s a lot of fun.”
In the heart of London, Clip ‘n Climb Wandsworth is poised to make waves in the capital’s adventure leisure scene. With an impressive lineup of 27 challenges, South Ridge Café, and dedicated party rooms, this location promises an unforgettable experience.
In a significant leap from the hustle of city finance to the exhilaration of adventure leisure, Simon Jobson, a local to South West London, has proudly taken ownership of Clip ‘n Climb Wandsworth. With a successful, but very busy career in finance, Simon realised the importance of prioritising family and work-life balance. His journey into the adventure leisure industry began with visits to various Clip ‘n Climb centres with his son. Captured by the brand and captivated by the concept, Simon made the decision to embrace a new chapter as the owner of Clip ‘n Climb Wandsworth.
Wandsworth will be at the forefront of innovation, and will be the second centre in the world to house the brand-new Velocity challenge. Velocity is a thrilling race against time using hex grips, providing a straightforward yet engaging speed test suitable for individuals of all ages and skill levels.
